What Makes Oracle Health EHR Different (and Better) than the Competition?
Who is Oracle Health’s biggest competitor? Likely Epic. And while Epic has been focused on EHR (as opposed to all healthcare like Oracle) and usability, Oracle’s focus has been on AI and its cloud infrastructure.
On an earnings call in 2024, Larry Ellison, co-founder, chair and CFO of Oracle said that “our user interface is so different than Epic”. He goes on to discuss his confusion when competitors talk about how they are going to charge separately for AI. For Oracle Healthcare, it’s all going to be included. The way he sees it, AI applications are “everything” for them.
